CLASSROOM DOOR DECORATING: FALL SEASON

As the skies begin to darken earlier and students spend more and more time indoors, it’s beneficial to spend some time decorating your classroom in the fall.

The coming holidays can provide you with inspiration. Here are some of the top fall/halloween classroom door decorating ideas for your consideration.

Involving Your Class

Planning

Children are always more engaged when something is their idea, or at least partially their own concept. By including them at the start, they wont consider this another project or class assignment.

Give Responsibility

Do your kids in your class like to be put in charge of things? This is a fantastic way to focus a child's attention. Give them something simple, such as cutting out fall leafs, ghosts, or  corn stocks. This frees up some of your busy time and lets the kids know they are trusted.

Teaching

Decorating, like many activities, can be a real learning experience for children. Incorporate a lesson plan with decorating your door or read a fun book that will make fun memories for many years to come.
